Mr. & Mrs. Jesse Perez

A couple of weeks ago I showed you a sneak peek of one of the fabulous weddings I shot back in November. Passion and Jesse were married at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine. What a beautiful wedding! Their wedding coordinator, Karmen from KP Events did such a fabulous job of making Passion & Jesse's day an unforgettable one. Then they snuck off to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico for their honeymoon and it was such a treat, considering my fiance and I are going to the same place for our honeymoon in just a few short weeks!

Probably my favorite part of the night was seeing Passion & Jesse out on the dance floor. These two knew how to get down! And without a care in the world they did just that, all night long. Even when no one else was on the dance floor they danced the night away, as if they were the only two people in the room. I absolutely loved photographing this couple, and I hope to get to work with them again in the future. Here are way too many of my favorites...

Courtney & Race Engaged!

A few weeks ago I hung out with Courtney and Race an adorable couple who met through a mutual friend. We went to a few of my favorite places in Fort Worth. I loved seeing how tender Race was with Courtney picking her up and carrying so her shoes didn't get dirty and brushing her hair out of her face as the wind blew it. I'm looking forward to their May wedding. Here are a few of my favorites from their session.

Mr. & Mrs. Jesse Perez Sneak Peak

I wanted to share with you a sneak peak of the wedding I did a couple of weeks ago while we are closed for Thanksgiving weekend. Passion & Jesse were married at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, Texas and had an absolutely beautiful wedding, filled with so much love, and LOTS of details! Here just a few of my favorites to wet the appetite. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Amanda & Derek Engaged!

A couple of weeks ago I hung out with Amanda & Derek around our studio in Ft. Worth. We had a great time getting to know each other.

As we were drove around looking for fun places to shoot we passed the place Derek proposed, so of course we had to stop and take pictures! What a sweet moment it was to hear their story and how Derek made her go on a "clue hunt" in order to find the treasure at the end-hiding behind a tree he popped out and asked her to marry him. I love hearing my couples stories and how they got engaged.

These two are tying the knot in February at A&M Gardens in Azle and I can't wait! Here are a few of my favorites...

Adrian & John Engaged!

A couple weeks ago I had the pleasure of hanging out with Adrian and John. We met for breakfast at IHOP and chatted a bit over eggs and juice before heading out to Dallas for their engagement session. What a fun couple! I don't think we stopped laughing their entire session. Their wedding is in April and I am super excited about it. Here are a few of my favorites from their engagement session...

Dillion Family

Dillionfall2009blog_0017

A few weeks ago I met Owen for his newborn session at the Dillion house.  Dad and sister were out that day so I was so excited when Mom, Jessica, called wanting to do a family session before the holidays.  Owen has grown and gotten even cuter and kept those baby blues like I hoped he would.  Big sis, Laura, is ah-mazing.  She is cute as a button with the freckles, curls and a huge heart for her baby brother.  This session was also really fun for me because we did something I have been wanting to for awhile, we shot right out side the studio!  For many of our family sessions we shoot at their home or at a locations through out the area but I have been dying to do a more urban looking shoot like we do for so many of our engagment session.  Jessica and her family trusted me and I think it turned out awesome.  Here some favorite shots, it was hard to narrow them down!

Mr. & Mrs. Guy Bouakhong

A few weeks ago I gave a sneak peek of Liz and Guy's traditional Vietnamese wedding ceremony and I wanted to share a few more images from the day. This was my first Vietnamese wedding and I loved learning their traditions. It starts with the groom's family offering gifts and asking permission to come in the house and marry the bride. The ceremony also includes a tea ceremony where the bride honors her parents. Following Liz and Guy's traditional ceremony, we had a rocking reception that evening with Liz and Guy doing the rumba for their first dance.

Our own Sarah Bunyard Engaged!

HalfertyEngBlog_0007

For those that don't know the bride in these photos is our very own associate Sarah Bunyard.  She is marrying Evan in January in Grapevine.  Since she is a photographer we had to play around with some different ideas for her shoot and come up with something with a little more spice than a "regular" engagement shoot.  Evan and Sarah both love vintage things and spend tons of time antiquing together.  We thought it would be fun to bring that vintage feel into thier shoot.  That led us to select the McKinney Cotton Mill for their location.  The Cotton Mill is a great spot for those that want something with that open warehouse look, old machinery, doors and beautiful light.   On top of the vintage look we of course went for some classic casual shots and even explored downtown McKinney for a few shots in an antique store.  I love getting to work with fellow artists and Sarah is like a little sister too me so the shoot was very special.  Here are some favorite shots and of course their very loooong slide show (I couldn't help it, I loved way too many.)

Lopez Family

LopezFamFall2009Blog_0002

These two little girls steal my heart every time I photograph them.  I can't believe little Lucia has gotten so big, I have been photographing her since birth!  Valerie & Sal have the best 2 girls and they are expecting a third child early next year, I can't wait to get to meet the new addition and I think Aurelia has got the big sister thing down by now.  Here are some favorites from their family session this year at the art museums in Fort Worth.

Aurelia decided it was time to play with Tracy, not have her photo taken but I still got her!
Hugging on Mommy

A portrait of the children, Lucia, Aurelia and baby on the way!

Thanks Lopez Family and I can't wait to see you guys again!

Alex and Jordan were those kind of people that when you meet, you instantly click! We had so much fun exploring the Botanic Gardens and then later on in downtown Ft. Worth. These two met on Match.com, and they are definitely that-A Perfect Match! These two are so cute and goofy, that they had me laughing the entire time. I can not wait until their wedding in April, its going to be a blast! Here are a few of my favorites from their engagement session...
